Sometimes we can struggle with trusting that God will provide what we need. It’s hard when the bills are due and there’s no money in the bank. It’s difficult when our circumstances are shouting at us that things will never happen for us. However, God will provide for His children. His provision doesn’t always come when we think it should happen—but He will provide just in the right time. What does God P.R.O.V.I.D.E. for us?
P – Peace in the midst of chaos
“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7)
Even when everything around us is in chaos—God gives peace to those who are secure in Him.
R – Restoration in spirit, mind, and body
“Restore us to yourself, O LORD, that we may be restored! Renew our days as of old” (Lamentations 5:21)
There’s spiritual, emotional, and physical healing for us through God’s grace and power.
O – Order to our lives
“The steps of a man are established by the LORD, when he delights in his way” (Psalm 37:23)
Sometimes we may feel frustration with the direction of our lives; however, God has a plan for us when we put our trust in Him.
V – Victory over our trials
“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 15:57)
We may lose a battle here and there, but we win the war over our trials because of God’s help.
I – Insight from the Holy Spirit
“The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.” (1 Corinthians 2:14)
Discernment is a gift that is available to those who stay close to the Lord in prayer and in His word.
D – Deliverance from the weaknesses of our flesh
“And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.” (Galatians 5:24)
Many of us struggle with the weaknesses in our flesh; however, God gives us the ability to overcome through the power of the Holy Spirit.
E – Essentials of life
“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)
The Lord will provide for His children—we can turn to Him to supply everything we need to survive.
Dear Lord, thank You for providing what I need when I need it. Help me to trust in You always. In Jesus’ name, amen.
