God speaks to us quietly to our spirits which means that we have to learn to get quiet before Him. The discipline of silence and solitude helps us become more familiar with His voice so we can hear Him over the shouts of our flesh. If we don’t quiet the noise within and outside of us—we will never really become acquainted with the presence and words of the Holy Spirit.

Prayer

Dear Lord, I want to hear You clearly. Show me the areas of my life that I need to quieten so I can hear the Spirit talking to me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
