God expects His people to leave a positive mark on their place of employment. We aren’t just existing from paycheck to paycheck—we are a part of His kingdom agenda regardless of where we work.

Because we showed up for work, there needs to be a positive impact from our presence. Even in the worst work environments, we can pray for the salvation of our bosses and co-workers. We can pray for God’s peace and presence to infiltrate the building. We can pray for opportunities to share the gospel or help someone through a difficult situation. Believers who follow God with all their hearts can’t help to leave the mark of Jesus Christ wherever they work.

Prayer

Dear Lord, I want to leave the mark of Jesus Christ at my job every day. I pray for wisdom and insight to do this with integrity and courage. In Jesus’ name, amen.
