In the last five years of my life, I’ve had many unexpected problems that needed to be solved. It could be anything from appliance break downs, melt downs of family members or myself, unexpected changes at work, church, and/or community. I’ve learned from these experiences to turn to the ultimate Problem Solver—Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. Without His help and direction, I would still be in the swirl of indecision and the paralysis of analysis for every situation.
Days of trouble come to everyone whether they are believers or not. Sometimes Christians are criticized because of our “crutch” of believing we are helpless without God. Yet, there is truth to that concept because without Christ—we can do nothing. (John 15:5) But with Him—we are more than conquerors of our fears, doubts, and anxiousness. The difference between the unbelievers and Christians is that God will lead us into all truth and make everything eventually work together for our good. (John 16:13, Romans 8:28)
God helps us solve all our problems as we humble ourselves, pray, and seek His face. He desires that His children come to Him for help. As we learn to trust in Him with everything, it will become second nature to us to look for God’s help in our problems (even those we helped create!).
There’s no problem too small for God to be a part of the solution. Because of His great love for us—He cares about everything that causes distress to our hearts. In our daily communication with Him, we learn to tell Him everything and trust He will lead the way. (1 Peter 5:7) As we mature in our faith, we are compelled to trust Him in the small and large problems we face every day.
Dear Lord, I have many problems that remain unresolved. I pray for the Spirit of God to lead me into all truth and provide the answers I need. In Jesus’ name, amen.
