Have you ever wanted to get somewhere quickly but the street has bumps in the road to slow cars down? Sometimes this is how life is—we see or know where we want to go and we try our best to get there quickly—but then there are life speed bumps.

When these life speed bumps happen, many of us get frazzled and upset with God because we know that He could smooth out the bumps. Yet, God doesn’t respond in the way that we always want. He wants us to mature in our spiritual walk to be more like Jesus Christ. As a result, He allows these bumps in the road to make us slow down and reflect in prayer and His word. Prayer

Dear Lord, sometimes it seems like there’s a bump in my life at every turn. Even though I struggle at times, I will keep the faith in You to lead me where I should go. In Jesus’ name, amen.
