Fragile Faith

Divider
If you have faith like a grain of mustard seed…nothing will be impossible for you.

Matthew 17:20

Many times I’m blown away by the faith of my brothers and sisters in Christ. When they’ve prayed and believed God for the miraculous and it happens…I’m in awe of God’s grace and kindness. Yet, sometimes I don’t feel like I have that kind of faith. In fact, many times my faith is fragile and prone to getting bruised by doubt and unbelief.

I used to beat myself up over my lack of faith. The devil helped as well—reminding me of all the reasons I shouldn’t expect God to do anything for me. After many years of struggle, I’ve finally came to a place of spiritual maturity. I’ve learned that fragile faith is better than no faith at all. Even if my deepest times of despair, I refused to let go of the fact that God loves me. I refuse to deny His existence nor His goodness to me. I refuse to accept anything less than Jesus Christ’s hand over my life even when it gets difficult.

This is why Satan hates us so much—even the weakest among us are a threat to his kingdom. Our weak and fragile faith always has the potential to grow in strength in a very short time. One verse from the Bible can ignite the power of the Holy Spirit within us to move stubborn mountains out of our lives.

Our fragile faith grows as we read and study the Bible, seek the Lord in prayer, and serve in the body of Christ. As we are strengthened and share our testimony of God’s grace—the faith of those around us are also made stronger. Let’s not give up when our faith is fragile, but instead press forward in the Lord.

Prayer

Dear Lord, my faith may feel fragile, but I know that You are strong and able to make all things work together for my good. I trust in You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
