Embrace the Grace

Divider

But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift.

Ephesians 4:7

As a mother of five children working full-time and part-time, life is very busy and oftentimes has a feeling of chaos that I can barely keep up with. If you are like me, I sometimes forget to ask God for the grace to move forward. I just keep pressing my way until I’m overwhelmed and stressed. It’s in those moments that I’ve learned to cry out to God and ask for the grace to make it through.

The grace of God is given to each of His children to accomplish the work we need to complete before He calls us home to heaven. We aren’t expected to finish the work of faith by our own efforts. His grace is what will get us to the right place at the right time.

When we stop our busyness and embrace God’s grace, we experience renewed strength and peace about our responsibilities. We begin to see ourselves the way God sees us, and this allows us to see our situations as God sees them. His grace is the extra energy to complete the work without striving through it in anger, strife, and restlessness.

Grace is a gift given to rescue us from stressing and worrying about how things are going to work out. His power is revealed in grace as we accomplish everything we set out to do with a different focus: pleasing God. His grace reins us in from taking the full credit for completed work and accomplishments. We know there was no way anything was done unless God’s grace allowed it. By embracing the grace, we are set free from seeking accolades from others; instead, we are overwhelmingly grateful to the God who strengthens us.

Prayer

Dear Lord, I pray for the grace to accomplish the tasks that are in front of me today. Help me to remember to pause and seek out your grace. Amen.
