He hears the prayer of the righteous.
Have you ever felt abandoned by God? You’ve prayed over and over again, yet it doesn’t seem like anything is happening. You’ve called out to God to intervene, and at times it seems like things have gotten worse. You keep reading your Bible and living righteously; however, life still seems to have taken a direction that you hadn’t planned on.
Sometimes it’s difficult to believe that God longs to hear and answer our prayers. Yet He does. No matter who loves us right now, their love pales in comparison to the overwhelming and steadfast love of God towards us.
We sometimes forget the mighty spiritual battle in the heavenly places that happens when we pray. Because of the power of our prayers, Satan will do everything he can to tempt us towards avoiding a consistent prayer life. He doesn’t mind us being busy with church work or with our families as long as we don’t pray. He knows that our prayers bring the result of God’s will when we focus on praying no matter the resistance.
God hears the prayers of His children and answers according to His will. He wants us to continue pressing forward in prayer regardless of the time of day or the situation in life we find ourselves. Just because we don’t “feel” like God hears our prayers doesn’t mean that He’s not answering them. When we humble ourselves to pray and confess our sins, the Lord opens doors that we didn’t even know existed.
There is great joy when we see the evidence of God answering our prayers. We wait and pray expectantly against great mountain tops of discouragement, despair, and unmet longings. He is more than able to answer in His perfect timing. Yes, God hears and answers our prayers because He is a faithful and loving Father.
Dear Lord, I look to You to answer my prayers. I seek Your wisdom and direction from the Holy Spirit on how to pray every day. Help me to continue to pray. In Jesus’ name, amen.
