Wherever we are in our season of faith—there will be times when we will be tempted to react in an evil manner to someone who has mistreated us. If we try to deny our feelings, they tend to pop up when we least expect them.
When we submit to His Spirit and obey the call to return good for evil in 1 Thessalonians 5:15—we will sense the power that lies within us—the surpassing power from God to do good instead of evil. He gives us glimpse of heaven through His grace and mercy and we are compelled to follow the way of love instead of hate.
Satan can’t make us hate. The world can’t make us hate. Our flesh can’t make us hate. We have the power within to overcome hate with the love of Jesus Christ. We are more than conquerors through Him and His reward is greater than anything this world can offer us.
Can’t make me hate…
Dear Lord, I need Your Spirit to return good for evil and to love instead of hate. In Jesus’ name, amen.
