When we first become believers, there is a newness and excitement about our newfound joy and freedom from sin. However, after years of living in the faith we can become lax in our commitment to Jesus Christ. While we may still attend church and engage in Christian activities, we may forget the powerful truth of the God we serve. He is set apart from all other gods or man’s idols. Our God is the Creator of the universe—the great I am.
Who is like our God?
Who sends His only Son to die for us while we were yet sinners? (Romans 5:8)
Who gives us abundant wisdom when we don’t know what to do? (James 1:5)
Who hears and answers our prayers according to His will? (1 John 5:14-15)
Who loves us so deeply that nothing can ever separate His love from His people? (Romans 8:39)
Who will never leave nor forsake us? (Hebrews 13:5)
Who gives us all-sufficient grace when we are weak? (2 Corinthians 12:9)
Who supplies our needs according to His riches in glory? (Philippians 4:19)
Who gives each of His children spiritual gifts to minister to others? (1 Corinthians 7:7)
Who gives us peace that guards our hearts and minds so that we don’t need to worry? (Philippians 4:6-8)
Who leads and guides us to the right paths? (Psalm 23:3)
Who strengthens us so that we can do all things through Jesus Christ? (Philippians 4:13)
Who grants us the desires of our heart as we delight ourselves in Him? (Psalm 37:4)
Who gives us the Holy Spirit who leads us into all truth? (Luke 11:13)
Who has the power to heal our spirit, mind, and bodies? (Psalm 30:2)
Who sends His angels to protect us and those we love? (Psalm 91:11)
Who is preparing a place for us in heaven? (John 14:2-3)
Dear Lord, there is no one like You in the whole earth. Help me to always remember the love and grace that comes from knowing You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
