My ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Has God ever dropped a big dream or vision into your heart? It feels kind of scary because we know that it’s bigger than us or our abilities. We don’t always want to tell people about the dream because we feel that they may ridicule it. We also don’t share with others because we don’t want to fail either.
However, when we are walking in obedience to His word and following His ways, the Lord wants us to experience a deeper relationship with Him. As we walk closer to God, we are more prone to hear His voice prompting us towards a greater purpose in life than just existing.
What if God wants to do a great work in our life in building the kingdom of God with our gifts and talents? What if God wants to use us to drop seeds of hope and encouragement into the lives of those He placed around us? What if God wants us to take steps of faith even though we can’t clearly see the way before us? What if God wants to do amazing things in our lives?
Doubts, fears, and hesitations will constantly show up in this Christian journey of purpose. However, their influence and power over our minds is diminished as long as we are connected to the Lord. Our response is to humbly accept His calling and purpose instead of focusing on our circumstances or earthly treasures.
Our attention is squarely fixed on His abilities and not our inabilities. As we search the Scriptures for guidance, share our dreams with godly mentors, and pray intently for wisdom, the Lord will show us what He can do with those who follow after Him with a pure heart.
Dear Lord, I know that You are guiding me to a path that is according to Your will for my life. Lead me in the ways of truth according to Your word. Amen.
