When our hearts are broken, plans have been destroyed, and hope diminished—we can feel like we can’t make it one more day. Our bodies are tired, emotions spent, and our spirits have been exhausted. Yet, if we have Jesus, we will survive.
Survival isn’t just about meeting our physical, emotional, or spiritual needs. It’s about accomplishing the purpose of God in our lives. We weren’t born just to exist, but to shine the light of Jesus Christ until the day of our last breath. We were born for destiny and our hope remains when we are focusing squarely on Jesus Christ for renewed strength. We can S-U-R-V-I-V-E:
S – Start each day with a prayer: “I can’t make it today without You, Jesus.” He has a plan that requires you to surrender to His will every day.
U – Understand that His grace is new and sufficient for you every morning. He gives the extra energy, wisdom, and strength to press forward in joy when we seek His face.
R – Relax your heart and mind to trust in God’s loving hands of mercy. He is faithful to accomplish every detail of your life for His purpose and plans.
V- Value every new day as an opportunity to show your thankfulness to God. He gives you another chance to show your love and obedience to Him.
I – Insulate your heart with scriptures to meditate on throughout your day. He will enlighten the word within you to give you peace when the storms of life are raging.
V – Vanquish any negative thoughts that cause you to doubt God’s word. He will give you the ability to crush every temptation of the enemy to bring you down.
E – Equip your spirit, mind, and body with renewed vigor to finish your day well. He provides encouragement through the Holy Spirit who comforts with words of truth.
Dear Lord, I know I can make it in Christ. I seek your strength, wisdom, and discernment to push past my limitations and accomplish the work set out before me. Amen.
