A woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

Proverbs 31:30

It’s sometimes tough being a mom because we want the best for our children, but many times we fall short in our attempts. Yet, through the grace and mercy of God—He equips us with everything we need to be the moms God wants us to be for our children. Check out the Ten Commandments for being a Christian mom:

#1) Thou shalt seek God for wisdom in training children.
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.” (James 1:5)

#2) Thou shalt not speak evil of the other parent.
“Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.” (Ephesians 4:29)

#3) Thou shalt forgive and forgive some more.
“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:32)

#4) Thou shalt not choose favorites of your children.
“My brothers, show no partiality as you hold the faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory.” (James 2:1)

#5) Thou shalt encourage your children to trust in the Lord.
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6)

#6) Thou shalt not get in God’s way.
“But if you will not do so, behold, you have sinned against the LORD, and be sure your sin will find you out.” (Numbers 32:23)

#7) Thou shalt ask forgiveness.
“A brother offended is more unyielding than a strong city, and quarreling is like the bars of a castle.” (Proverbs 18:19)

#8) Thou shalt not be a hypocrite.
“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” (James 1:22)

#9) Thou shalt learn to listen more deeply.
“Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger” (James 1:19)

#10) Thou shalt not live under a spirit of condemnation.
“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1)
