A – Anticipate temptation to rise when you are at a low point.
“No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.” (1 Corinthians 10:13)
L – Listen to the leading of the Spirit for direction.
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding, which must be curbed with bit and bridle, or it will not stay near you.” (Psalm 32:8-9)
God is speaking…are we listening? Not too long ago, I felt the urge to go on a picnic and just enjoy the beautiful day.
O – Open up your mind to explore opportunities that interest you.
“Behold, what I have seen to be good and fitting is to eat and drink and find enjoyment in all the toil with which one toils under the sun the few days of his life that God has given him, for this is his lot.” (Ecclesiastes 5:18)
N – Never forget God’s promise to never leave nor forsake you.
“Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?” (Hebrews 13:5)
E – Engage family and friends with fellowship outside of social media or email.
“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.” (Proverbs 17:17)
Dear Lord, help me to find peace in being alone knowing that You are with me always. In Jesus’ name, amen.
