Not One Time

At one time my life seemed to be very predictable and consistent. Then the tremors of trouble shook up my tranquility, I found myself looking up to the sky and asking God the question “How am I supposed to do this?” Four years have passed since then and as I look back at God’s faithfulness, I’m astounded at His goodness to me:

When I was the lonely—He was my comfort.
“To comfort all who mourn.” (Isaiah 61:2)

When I was confused and dismayed—He brought peace to my soul.
“For he will speak peace to his people.” (Psalm 85:8)

When I was hurt—He healed my emotional wounds.
“O LORD my God, I cried to you for help, and you have healed me.” (Psalm 30:2)

When I couldn’t see my way—He lead me in the right direction.
“Lead me in your truth and teach me.” (Psalm 25:5)

When I needed friends—He brought people into my life to encourage me.
“A friend loves at all times.” (Proverbs 17:17)

When I lacked wisdom on what to do—He enlightened my mind.
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God.” (James 1:5)

There wasn’t one time when God didn’t move in His way and timing. While there’s still room for spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical growth, I know that God is with me no matter what life brings. Not only for me, but for everyone who puts all of their trust in Him. He has reward and favor for this lifetime as well as the next. Our joy and expectation grows as we lean more on Him every day. Nothing is too hard for our God!

Prayer

Dear Lord, I need You every day to help me get through this season of my life. You are my hope for today, tomorrow, and every day. In Jesus’ name, amen.
