Is Jesus Enough

Most of us would answer the question “is Jesus enough” with a resounding yes! However, if we really examined our relationship with Him, it might be Jesus plus a new man plus a new job plus a new house plus a new car, etc.  Jesus plus anything that we have desired in our hearts and expressed through prayer is awesome!

But can Jesus really be enough? If He never answered another prayer, is He still enough? If the only thing you get from Jesus is heaven, would He be enough? Jesus gives us more than enough based on His word in Ephesians 3:20: “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.”

It’s a good daily practice to reflect and focus on our motives in our relationship with Jesus. If we start our mornings with a simple prayer of “Jesus, I want You to be enough in my life today,” we would find ourselves more satisfied with the outcome of our day. This is because we learn to have a Jesus-focus instead of a me-focus.

Jesus is more than enough, even if everything else feels like it’s falling apart. He comes when we need Him most to comfort, lead, and empower us through the Holy Spirit to deal with whatever comes our way. He will never leave us in times of trouble, and He is willing to bear our burdens when we lay them at His feet. Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to commune with Christ.

Prayer

Dear Lord, forgive me for the times that I haven’t acknowledged You as being enough in my life. Renew my heart and mind to draw near to You every day in prayer and Bible study. Amen.
