Have you ever wanted something so much from God that hardly anything else mattered? Maybe it’s for a physical healing or financial breakthrough. Or perhaps it’s to mend a broken marriage or to be married. It could be something for a child who’s struggling or for a prodigal. Maybe you have a ministry issue that must be settled and needs a great God intervention. Whatever the reason, we can be tempted to want it more than we want God.

When we recognize that our desire for answered prayer is greater than our desire for God, we can meditate on Psalm 73:25-26 until our hearts are changed through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Prayer

Dear Lord,
I want to want you more than I want my answered prayers. Help me to come to the place of desiring you more than anything else on this earth. Amen.
