If we have the gift of joy…we need to share it with those who work around us. While they may not understand our joy—they will feel our joy when we bring it to work with us. Our joy isn’t rooted in whether we get a promotion, raise, or recognition for our work. The joy of the Lord should be evident as soon as we arrive on the scene in our attitude, actions, and words.
We don’t have to force joy out of us. All we need to do is to reflect on our lives and how it has changed from darkness to light because of Christ. We remember the good things that God has done for us even though we didn’t deserve it. We meditate on how God has answered our prayers when it seemed impossible for anything to change in our lives. We have joy as a part of our everyday lives when we learn to tap into it.
Dear Lord, help me to dig deeper than the surface for joy. Give me to remember, reflect, and meditate on your goodness so that joy is always evident in me. Amen.
