We know we are on the road of spiritual maturity when we are more focused on what God wants for us more than what we want for ourselves. As Jesus prayed in Matthew 26:39—not my will but Yours be done. The key to answered prayer in 1 John 5:14-15 is that we ask according to His will that He hears us. A Spirit over Flesh prayer life begins with wanting God’s will over our own.
